I have to be honest, I came at this book from a conservative Christian viewpoint. At first I was excited to read this book because I thought it was going to be solid advice from an older man in the Lord. I knew I wouldn’t agree with everything, but I figured it was going to be a book not just of opinions and lame jokes, but something that I could use to grow in my walk with Christ. Almost as if the author was talking to his younger brothers and sisters sharing his mistakes and how he worked through them, sharing how Christ has worked in his life through different situations.
However, as I began to read the book I was greatly disappointed. I was not a fan of this book, the “secrets” were not actually secrets. I felt as if the author was more concerned with making the reader laugh and entertained than he was concerned with giving actual advice to twenty somethings. The only thing I found funny about this book was its utter redicoulsness, it was definitely not worth the read. I got this book from the publisher in order to write this review, if I paid $13 for this book I would have been pretty upset. I do not recommend this book.
