On Bended Knee Review

Book Review:

You can never get too much training in the art of prayer. There are always things to learn. Crickett Keeth examines eight biblical characters and shows us to how to pray like them in “On Bended Knee”.

Here eight-week Bible Study teaches Jesus’ model prayer, Paul’s intercessory prayer, Job’s desperation prayer, Hannah’s longing prayer, David’s lament, Asa’s seeking prayer, Jehoshaphat’s prayer of repentance and Nehemiah’s prayer of boldness. I appreciate that she took some less known prayers and mixed them with the more well-known prayers we have read. These spiritual giants teach us what God can do through us with a little faith.

I love that Keeth doesn’t use a lot of her own words but allows us to work through her insightful questions to gain knowledge for ourselves. As always, Moody Publishers has produced a quality Bible study that helps us grow in our spiritual walk.
