The author definitely has a passion for God's Word and bringing it to people. Each day has a quick, "snack" sized option, or a heartier devotion for those with more time. I would say the true, "feast" option would take someone 30-60 minutes each to complete thoroughly, whereas the shorter option is 5 to 15 minutes maximum. The author has numerous places to look up Bible Scripture and take the time to really think about what you've read and how it applies to your life. Her website bibleandbreakfast.com also offers numerous resources to readers as well.
The recipes provide a good variety of menu options. They include kid friendly, gluten free, freezer friendly, and also short meal prep times. Each day has a lovely colored picture with detailed recipe instructions. There is something for everyone. Using breakfast as a way to get you into the habit of sitting down and diving into the Word is great, but this book can be used at any time of the day that works best for you.
I could definitely see this as a beautiful gift book for birthdays or for the holidays. It is hard cover and has an impressive heft to it.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Moody Publishers and was under no obligation to post a review.
