Help Her Be Brave is a book of abundant ideas of how to participate in and support the pro-life movement by caring for women who experience unplanned or unexpected pregnancies. While author Amy Ford explains the reasons behind her suggestions, most impressive are the long lists of ideas that will inspire readers with different personalities, different skills and different comfort levels to take action. Ford also acknowledges and addresses various hesitancies about caring for women with unplanned pregnancies, such as the fears of enabling dependency, condoning choices, or limiting consequences. Help Her Be Brave would also be a good addition to church libraries, as a resource and inspiration for congregants to consider how they can take action.
