The Hunt for Fang Review

Book Review:

This is the second book in the brand new series by Eastep: Tree Street Kids. The first one was absolutely wonderful and enjoyable to read so of course I was excited for the second one expecting it to be just as good. It was definitely just was wonderful as the first book.

The second book continues the story of the same characters in as the first book but with a new adventure and new obstacles to overcome. The story is filled with fun and faith. The Gospel is shared boldly but weaved throughout the story in a realistic, relatable way.

I appreciate that Eastep allows the challenges and sub-stories to be realistic but within a window of respect and through a Gospel lens. This teaches its young readers that despite life's difficulties and obstacles, God provides appropriate, respectful ways for us to overcome them.

The story is engaging and filled with comic relief throughout every chapter. She incorporates diversity within the storyline - characters, backgrounds, obstacles. There is just so much a child can learn through reading this book.

Despite being an adult, I enjoyed reading the book myself. It reminds me of the Magic Tree House books but with a Gospel twist.

I received a copy of this book from Moody Publishers in exchange for an honest review.
