Not a Tame Lion Review

Book Review:

I'm typically not one to willingly read biographies but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to read about the life of C.S. Lewis - one of the most influential Christian writers in all history.

Glaspey structures the book with two parts:

- Part One: C.S. Lewis - His Life

- Part Two: C.S. Lewis - His Thoughts

Part one includes twenty-three chapters while part two includes thirty chapters. This may seem intimidating, but the chapters are short and very sweet. Many are only two or three pages long. I greatly appreciate Glaspey including a chronological timeline in the introduction of Lewis' life. This gives a nice visual representation of each chapter's discussion on his life.

I enjoyed every single chapter of this book. It's people like Lewis who are so influential not only because of their writings and teachings, but also because of how they so firmly lived their lives following Christ. Obviously not perfect, but obviously walking through sin, repentance, forgiveness, grace and mercy.

This biography will be a conviction for all believers to live fully and deeply for Christ in every minute and every hour and every day of their lives.

I received a copy of this book from Moody Publishers in exchange for an honest review.
