True Woman 101: Divine Design Review

Book Review:

This is an awesome book! But’s not quite a book that you read through in one sitting. It’s a textbook/workbook of sorts. It’s intent is to educate the women, young and old, of this generation of biblical womanhood. It’s intent is to help us understand that being a woman isn’t always about being independent, about being so “up in your face”. I agree with the authors of the book, Mary A. Kassian and Nancy Leigh Demoss, when they make the argument that the feminist movement taught women to reject womanhood in the way the bible has set forth and define womanhood for themselves. However how can we who didn’t design ourselves, who didn’t create ourselves possibly tell ourselves how we are supposed to function, how we were designed? It’s impossible. Yet God who created and designed us for HIS glory and purpose can tell us what our function, purpose, and womanhood is. We as women need to embrace what God’s womanhood is because there lays the foundation for what God’ created and designed us to be. I’m not saying to look at womanhood as a list of dos and don’ts. I’m saying trust GOD to define womanhood since HE is the creator of woman.
