Wonderfully Made Review

Book Review:

I have never heard of Smith prior to this book nor her ministry Wonderfully Made. After reading the back cover description, it is clear that the book is directed towards teenage and college aged girls. Although any mother would gain an immense amount of insight from reading this book as well and could easily translate the concepts, insights and wisdom into powerful conversations with their daughters.

The book is structured with thirty chapters. A few of the titles are as follows:

- Made by God

- Made for Something More

- Made to Create

- Made to Live Fully Alive

The book was not exactly as I expected but this is not a negative thing. Smith spends a lot of time sharing her personal experiences as a teenager and college aged woman. Her experiences are real, relatable, discouraging, encouraging, and powerful all at the same time. I believe any young lady reading through this book would automatically feel a great connection to Smith's experiences and subsequent feelings, thoughts, struggles, growth and victories.

I personally love the chapter concepts - addressing exactly who God made us to be as women of the Gospel. She doesn't sugar coat the inevitable lies that Satan throws at young girls on a daily basis. But she does provide great encouragement, wisdom and practical advice to combat these lies.

I received a copy of this book from Moody Publishers in exchange for an honest review.
